Moong Dal Murukku Recipe|Paasi Paruppu Murukku Recipe:

Diwali is on its way and I hope all of you are getting for a pompous celebration. Diwali is to our family is almost a 10-day long event I would say. Grandmom and mom begin all sweet and savoury preparations and we will begin relishing them. Relatives visit and family gettogether are add-ons.

The below recipe is from amma specially made for my son. She has been doing this since he was 1 year. It is a protein-rich snack when compared to other murukkus. Most murukkus basic ingredient would be rice but in this recipe, it is protein-rich yellow moong dhal. Check out the recipe below and try once for your babies above 6 months(skip salt).

P.S:

To prepare rice flour, soak rinsed raw rice(pacharisi) for 1 hour. Spread that in a clean cloth and dry for 4 hours. Grind well in the mixer and sieve it. This fine powder can be used for making many savoury items.

To prepare moong dhal flour, dry roast moong dhal for 5 minutes in low flame. Cool and make it into a fine powder.

You can store this for 10 days and use.

Store in an airtight container once they get cooled.

They are crispy and healthy.

You can offer to babies above 6 months.

Always have a word with your doctor before offering any new food to babies.

Please consider all family history of allergies before trying any new food.
