INGREDIENTS: (all measurements in the standard measuring cup)

  • Whole wheat flour – 1 cup
  • Sathumaavu flour – 1/2 cup

(You can even use mixed millet flour, in this recipe I have used my homemade Sathumaavu flour which is made of more than 25 varieties of millets, grains, pulses and nuts)

  • Palm Candy Sugar – 3/4 cup

(Panakarkandu which u call in Tamil, I had to powder it because it was too coarse)

  • Ghee (Homemade preferably) – 1/2 cup
  • Salt (I had used Himalayan pink salt) a pinch
  • Milk – 3 to 5 tablespoons depending on your flour and dough consistency you need to adjust. I had used naatu pasumpaal (a2 desi milk)
  • Baking powder – 1/2 tsp (omit if you wish)
  • Few almonds to garnish the cookies

Procedure:

1. Measure and keep all the ingredients ready.

2. Combine Wheat flour, Sathumaavu flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl and mix gently and keep aside.
