Baked crispy Cauliflower Fry:

How about a zero oil version of crispy cauliflower fry for your evenings? Yes, it is baked crispy cauliflower fry recipe for the day. I have tried it twice or thrice and it comes out perfectly when followed to T. To arrive at the right mode and right consistency I had some struggles initially. But when it got fixed the recipe is absolutely no fail. Those who don’t OTG or Oven please refer here(Click for detailed recipe)

Ingredients:

  • Cauliflower-1 (medium-sized)
  • Red Chilli Powder-1/2 Tsp
  • Garam masala Powder-1 Tsp
  • Rice flour-1 tbsp
  • Gram flour-1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  • Hing-A pinch
  • Salt-To taste
  • Oil-1 tbsp

Procedure:

1. Measure and keep all the ingredients ready.

2. Clean and separate the florets.

3. Parboil them in water and drain excess water.

4. Add everything except Oil and make a smooth batter.

5. Mix them with the florets and freeze for 10 minutes.

6. Ensure the Gobi is coated with batter slightly.

In the OTG

7. In the meantime preheat the oven for 200 degrees C for ten minutes.

8.Place butter paper or aluminium foil on a tray.

9. Now carefully, place the marinated florets on the tray.

10. Drizzle very little oil.

11.Bake for ten minutes at 200 degrees C.

12. Now flip the florets.

13.Bake for 8 more minutes at 200 degrees C.

14. Crispy, Tasty Gobi Fry ready 😋😋😋

No more going back to deep fry the Gobi! 🥳🥳


P.S:

You can also add ginger garlic paste to the batter.

Adjust spices as per your taste.

Avoiding corn flour enhances the crispy texture is my experience.

Don’t make the batter so runny. Ensure it coats the florets evenly.

Parboil the florets well if you are not deep frying.

If you prefer deep fry you can parboil florets to al dente texture.

This is suitable for babies above 6 months.

Have a word with your doctor before introducing any new food.

Please eliminate all allergies and look into the family history of allergies before trying any new ingredient.

Skip salt and chilly for babies below one year
