Baked Potato Wedges with step by step recipe & images-Can be made on tawa too.
My son is finishing his first year at school and his institution is having a small party for kids.Parents were asked to send some simple party snacks and my friend Gouthami suggested this Baked Potato Wedges recipe from her blog last evening.She also suggested me to make the preparation works at night so that I can just bake /toast on a tawa today morning. I gave small tweaks to her recipe and made everything ready last night.I was so scared because I had failed twice before in baking gobi and potatoes but today baked potato wedges turned out to be a super hit.I am saving this recipe for all my further attempts.The colour , texture , taste ,flavour of baked potato wedges was so perfect and super yummy. And an additional good thing about this recipe is you make it by just shallow frying in a tawa too. Come let’s see the recipe while I keep waiting for my son to get back with his feedback.

Chapathi Noodles is usually made with leftover chappathis and mostly done with a Chinese tinge. When I got bored of the usual chapathi and felt so lazy to make a side dish for chapathi, this idea came into my mind.I didn’t want to add soya sauce because little one will also be having it.That was then this Masala Chapathi Noodles recipe was born.I made with fresh rotis only.You can use left over chapathi too.

Kesari-The most super quick sweet one can make which I have never made fearing that I wouldn’t be able to get the right consistency.Hubby and my paternal grand dad likes it so much.My paternal aunt would never come home without a bowl of this even if she visits us every week.Mom makes it in a jiffy and she had never failed.But to attempt this recipe I literally nagged her for a week ,pulled hubby inside kitchen and finally made it.Hopefully it is perfect.I was questioned by few friends that how I manage to cook without white ingredients daily.I try to replace with healthy alternatives.But I do include them once in 4 months or 6 months for dishes like kesari,milk halwa,gulab jamun etc.We don’t make these daily ,right?

Here comes one more random attempt with millet flour in baking without raising agents. I wanted to check the result of not using baking powder/soda in baking.My cookies were 100% successful.This cake got slightly dunked in.And I believe it is because of not using raising agents or curd. I am looking for experts to share their opinion on this.Here is the story of this bake 🙂 I ended up burning the top of my cup cakes but successfully made this cake with my little one’s help. My boy is so keen about what mommy cooks for him for every meal.He urges me to plan my every meal,every snack of the week well ahead.He has his own choices and he would love to assist me in cooking especially baking. This was planned to be eggless choco chip cup cakes with ragi and flax seeds without raising agents. I accidentally altered the mode and extended the timing with no proper knowledge and burnt the top of cup cakes. So I poured the second part of the batter to a cake pan,LO did the mixing ,garnishing and converted it to tutti fruity cake 🙂 He removed the burnt top of the cup cakes and stored them for this snack box for the coming week. How much should we learn from these kiddos? ! I even forgot the exact measurements as this was made long back. I have given the procedure and other details for both cake and cup cake here.
