I am a die-hard fan of pasta/macaroni especially the cheesy white sauce ones. You may even notice that one of my earliest posts was white sauce pasta. Like Mother, Like son- This little miracle of us also loves pasta varieties. When he began exploring and loving them I had to look deeper into the nutrition details of the pasta because most of them are maida/refined flour based. Whole Wheat Veg. Noodles:
Is there any kid who doesn’t like noodles? Why kids, even adults love them. My son who is four years old is no different but he himself prefers whole wheat ones only. Thankfully he is not addicted to it as he always prefers a variety of foods. I kept refraining using them in our regular meal as I was only able to source partial wheat products or those with durum wheat or maida based ones. I have tried making noodles just like the street food style during our early days of marriage(more than 4 years ago), I wasn’t really so aware of the availability Whole Wheat Veg. Noodles in the market and to be frank we weren’t too bothered about it until our son became 3.5 yrs. He had not tasted them until then. Our hunt for the perfect healthy and tasty variant began when our son started liking Whole Wheat Veg. Noodles. I have tried few brands and I found Del Monte Spaghetti, Whole Wheat (Click link to buy) to be good. You may also try Colavita Spaghetti . Both of them are worth trying as they are made of whole wheat. The below recipe has a very small quantity of soya sauce. I make Whole Wheat Veg. Noodles once in several months and hence I feel they don’t really make any harm. For kids below 12 months, please skip all sauces and salt in this recipe. If you would prefer making this Whole Wheat Veg. Noodles often kindly use a low sodium soy sauce for kids. Use only homemade tomato sauce. I have taken utmost care to keep this Whole Wheat Veg. Noodles recipe safe and healthy for kids of all age since it is always a showstopper among them.

Baked Potato Wedges with step by step recipe & images-Can be made on tawa too.
My son is finishing his first year at school and his institution is having a small party for kids.Parents were asked to send some simple party snacks and my friend Gouthami suggested this Baked Potato Wedges recipe from her blog last evening.She also suggested me to make the preparation works at night so that I can just bake /toast on a tawa today morning. I gave small tweaks to her recipe and made everything ready last night.I was so scared because I had failed twice before in baking gobi and potatoes but today baked potato wedges turned out to be a super hit.I am saving this recipe for all my further attempts.The colour , texture , taste ,flavour of baked potato wedges was so perfect and super yummy. And an additional good thing about this recipe is you make it by just shallow frying in a tawa too. Come let’s see the recipe while I keep waiting for my son to get back with his feedback.

Chapathi Noodles is usually made with leftover chappathis and mostly done with a Chinese tinge. When I got bored of the usual chapathi and felt so lazy to make a side dish for chapathi, this idea came into my mind.I didn’t want to add soya sauce because little one will also be having it.That was then this Masala Chapathi Noodles recipe was born. I made with fresh rotis only.You can use left over chapathi too.

Sundal is a nutritious Tamilan snack recipe which is made with the cooked legumes, coconut, and some tempering. Peanut Groundnut Sundal is an excellent protein-rich snack for your kids. Sundal has been a regular snack since my school days. Now my LO has joined the league. It was never a Navratri recipe alone. Verkadalai sundal /peanut /groundnut sundal can be given to babies above 6 months without salt and fewer spices.
