Rava Laddu:

Rava laddu is one quick recipe which can be made in no time and gets over in the same speed.It just melts in mouth.This has been one of my favourites in childhood and every aunt/grandmom who visits me would definitely come with a box of this. Recently I stopped making/having them after having avoided the white ingredients in my cooking.After a long time,this was made for a special person.

  • Sooji/Rava-1 cup
  • Sugar-1 cup
  • Ghee-1/2 cup
  • Cashews-15
  • Cardamom Powder-A pinch

Measure all ingredients and keep them ready

1.Dry roast sooji/rava slightly and cool it.

2.Grind sugar into a fine powder.

3.Add the roasted sooji to the same mixer jar and grind together.

4.Spread it in a bowl and see that there are no lumps.Add cardamom powder if you wish.

5.In a small ladle roast the cashew in ghee and add it to the sooji+sugar powder.

6.Keep heating/melting ghee in batches and add to a part of the powder.

7.Mix using a spoon and hold in your palm and make small balls.

8.Repeat the same for the entire powder.

Ensure that the ghee is completely melted and hot(tolerable to you).

Doing it in in small parts/batches makes it easy.

Add ghee little by little.This will help you to make perfect ladoos.

Shape them very tight and using slightly hot ghee.

You can store this for 2 weeks in room temperature.

Make a very fine powder of sooji.
