Have I told you that my lo loves any food which is colourful and especially pinkish colour(the tinge of beetroot)?.He is so fond of this beetroot inclusion in any food and as a result you will be finding many recipes with beetroot in my blog. I have listed them below for you.

Ingredients for Beetroot Paniyaram:
- Beetroot+Carrot-1 cup(grated)
- Paniyaram Batter/Left Over Dosa Batter-1.5 cups
- Oil/Ghee-To Cook
- Onion-1/2 cup( Finely chopped)
1.Measure and keep all the ingredients ready.
2.Mix the grated beetroot/carrot,cashews,onion to paniyaram/idly-dosa batter and mix well.
3.Heat the appe/paniyaram pan and grease with some oil/ghee.
4.Pour the batter carefully in all holes and cook by closing it with a lid.
5.Flip them and cook the other side too.
6.Serve Beetroot Paniyaram warm.

You can also add some tempering to the dosa batter.
I have added raw carrots/beetroot.You can steam cook and add them after grating.
You can add some chilies if you want them to be spicy.
Ensure that the batter is slightly thick and not too watery.
Skip salt in the batter for babies below one year.
This can be offered to babies above 6 months.
Always have a word with your doctor before offering any new food to babies.
