Broccoli Corn Cutlet Recipe:

Before I begin with broccoli corn cutlet recipe today, I am adding a disclaimer that the recipe was done in morning rush hour and the images are not so great. The little one wanted a different snack today from the ones I have already done from kids snack box collection. The best part of the recipe is the top coating layer I have used instead of the usual bread crumbs or crushed poha. Read below to know what is that

Broccoli Corn Cutlet Recipe:

For the very first time, a recipe is posted in less than an hour of making.


  • Broccoli-1/4 cup
  • Potato-1
  • Corn Kernels-1/4 cup
  • Onion-1 finely chopped
  • Garam masala powder-1/4 tsp
  • Red Chilly Powder-1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder-1/4 tsp
  • Gram flour/Besan Flour-3 tbsp
  • Puttu podi/flour-For top coating
  • Salt-To taste
  • Ghee-To cook

Broccoli Corn Cutlet Recipe:


1.Steam cook broccoli florets and corn kernels.

2.Pressure cook and mash the potatoes.

3. Mash the broccoli and potatoes together.

4.In a pan add ghee and saute chopped onions and add the spice powders.

5. Now add this to mashed broccoli and potatoes.

6.When it cools mix salt and gram flour and make a thick mixture.

7. Roll into balls and flatten.

8. Now coat with puttu podi.I ran out of bread crumbs. Hence this sudden idea popped up as our morning breakfast was Kerala Puttu.

9.Shallow fry in ghee and serve with mint chutney or sauce.

10. Broccoli Corn Cutlet is ready.

You can replace puttu podi with bread crumbs/crushed poha.

Don’t add gram flour altogether. Just add little by little to get the right consistency

This is a portion of amazing finger food for babies above 6 months.

Cook in low flame and allow it to cook well. Give enough time.

Adjust the spices as per your taste.

Skip the salt for babies below one year.
