Gluten Free Poori| Foxtail Millet Poori

Gluten-Free Poori:

Gluten-Free Poori is nothing but a poori recipe with foxtail millet and rice. Most of the South Indian Cuisine ingredients are gluten-free. Gluten-free has become a fancy title these days and I wish to state here that gluten-free doesn’t ensure that it is healthy. All rice varieties, millet grains, amaranth of our origin are gluten-free. This recipe of foxtail millet poori is a slight modification to my mother in law’s recipe of arisi poori

P.S: The flattened poori has to be thick and no water is to be added for grinding.

Notes:

The unrefined millet is brown in colour and not white.

The poori will puff and stay puffy if the dough consistency is firm as shown in the images and when you roll into medium-thick pooris.

Don’t knead more.

You can offer this to babies above 6 months without salt.

Ensure to have given the individual ingredients and eliminate all allergies before trying the all-new recipe.

Always have a word with your doctor before offering anything new to your baby.
