Paneer Peas Biriyani or Paneer Matar Biriyani is a flavourful, spicy variety of rice made with cottage cheese/paneer and fresh green peas.I used the traditional seeraga samba rice to make this as it adds more flavour and fills the paneer peas biriyani with an amazing aroma.It is a deliciously rich meal.LO, and I love paneer & peas whereas hubby doesn’t prefer it much except for certain specific type of recipes like paneer tikka or peas curry in Kerala style or paneer biriyani or paneer burji.Last weekend I was badly craving for paneer and I made my mind to make some dish with it.And here is the result-Paneer Peas Biriyani

Corn Pulao Recipe/Sweet Corn Pulav Recipe-Corn has been my big time favourite since childhood.Only in the recent days, we come across the American sweet corn which is so fluffy, big and easy to cook.During childhood, we get corn(Makka Cholam) and all that we would do is pressure cook for a long time and eat after sprinkling salt or toast it in open fire and have it.In North India, the sight of cooking corn in open fire is very common.It is one super filling and yummy food.I would suggest you use the local corn kernels if you often cook corn instead of using American Sweet Corn.The below Corn Pulao Recipe was one of my earliest trials(June 2015).I couldn’t upload because I didn’t click a decent final picture.The below images might vary because of this.Come let’s check out Corn Pulao Recipe.

Vellai Curry/Vellaikari-Tirunelveli Style Kuzhambhu

Vellai Curry(வெள்ளை கறி) is a gravy for rice or idly or dosa based on Tirunelveli Cuisine and this recipe is especially from my family.It is a kuzhambhu variety with no dhal/tamarind/tomatoes.I am not a lover of gravy varieties for rice.My preference is always one-pot meals or some unique and different kuzhambhu like vellaikari or ladies finger coconut milk curry or sothi  You can prepare in a jiffy and serve as an accompaniment to hot steaming rice.Today’s recipe is made with raw banana and raw mango.You can add drumstick or brinjal or potato or ladies finger instead raw banana.Don’t replace raw mango as it is the secret behind the taste of the recipe.Am I making you curious?Come let’s check out the recipe for Vellai curry. Cabbage Peas Rice|Cabbage Peas Pulao

This is my 301 st post on blog.What an amazing and blessed journey it has been!Almost three years of blogging,lots of friends/well wishers/supporters/followers ,several hours of hard-work,tons of experiences ,bunch of lessons and zero monetary benefits.This blog is a brain child of beloved hubby.It all started when he was guilty of having me away from my most lovable job for umpteen reasons . He pushed me to give a start. I didn’t have a clue what this is all about.I just recorded all recipes I knew with all my knowledge on healthy eating.When I look back the images I posted initially I feel awful today but I am really happy about the learnings. Slowly I incorporated more healthy baby foods as little one was growing along and started focusing on no white cooking which had been the norm of my cooking since inception.This gradually took me to people and there are no words to describe my joy when I received notes from parents/people saying “It was you who transformed our child’s eating routine”,”Kalyani,Thanks for being an inspiration to live healthy without compromising on taste”,”I owe a lot for making my baby’s weaning smooth”.”We miss your healthy recipes”.These aren’t just words.They are real feathers on my crown which I can proudly carry and treat as a blessing.The travel was not smooth.It was a bed roses with too many thorns than petals.Lots of barriers(personal/technical/mental/physical) came along. With the love,motivation and encouragement of family,friends and supporters here I stand feeling not happy or proud or accomplished but blessed.Yes truly blessed.THANKS is the least I can say.But Millions of thanks and tons of love to each person who has been a constant source of positive energy .I bow down to God and each of you. This is an recent attempt of me after longing for a spicy lunch on a lazy Saturday. I heard about this Masala Rice of Maharastra and gave a random try. It came out excellent and all of us wanted more. The best part of the recipe is it can be made in a jiffy in a single pan.You know I hate cooking in the kitchen for long hours. BisiBeleBath/Sambhar Sadham

Our Sundays won’t be complete without a new trial of a recipe. This week I thought of making Bisibelebath-a traditional recipe from Karnataka fused with our own sambhar sadham. I have already posted a recipe of sambhar sadham which is amma’s signature dish. I was actually thinking bisibelebath and sambhar sadham mean the same dish. But it is not so.Authentic Bisibelebath has a special spice powder and doesn’t have any vegetables added to it. So here goes my fusion recipe. I was not sure of the outcome until we had it.
