Home Made Pineapple Jam For Toddlers:

Homemade Pineapple Jam has been in my to-do list since a very long time. One of my besties had asked me to try it without preservatives and white sugar and share.The recipe doesn’t have white sugar or any artificial colour/additives or preservatives.I have already posted homemade jam recipes without any added sugar and many other variants. No sugar mixed fruit jam

Homemade Beet Jam

Home Made Pineapple Jam:


  • Pineapple-1 medium sized
  • Palm sugar-3 tbsp to 1/4 cup

Home Made Pineapple Jam For Toddlers:


1. Peel the skin of pineapple and slice them.

2. Chop them into pieces after discarding the thorny portions.

3. Blend them together in a mixer without adding anything.

4. Grind into a smooth paste

5. In a heavy bottomed vessel, add the puree and cook by closing the pan for 10 minutes in low flame.

6. It would have got reduced and now keep stirring occasionally.

7. Add the powdered(sieved) palm sugar and mix well.

8. Cook it again by closing for 10 minutes in medium flame.

9. Now continue to cook till you reach jam consistency by occasional stirring.

10. Cool down and store in an airtight sterilised jar.

11. Home Made Pineapple Jam For Toddlers is ready.


You can add some 15-20 deseeded dates instead of sugar if you plan to offer for babies below one year.

Don’t cook in high flame.

Do not cook in high flame or for a longer time as palm sugar might crystallize.

This can be used a spread to roti, bread, dosa or as an accompaniment to idly.

Please sterilise the glass jar and the lid well and ensure you have refrigerated in an airtight way. If not, fungus formation is possible

This will stay good for 3 months under refrigeration and proper usage.

The colour depends on the pineapple and palm sugar used.

This will definitely stay good for 20 days minimum under refrigeration.

This can be offered to babies above 1 year.

Always have a word with your doctor before offering any new food to babies.
